We are a free-range family, and I spend my days with the kids crafting, gardening, canning fruit, and keeping the peace. Some days I'm lucky enough to fit in a little knitting. The boys love to shovel the path with grandpa while we wait for the bus. I drink my coffee while holding the leash of our newest, and third, dog so he acclimated to our family and its rhythms.
“Mom, I’ll read to Truman so you can do your work and make your coffee. Truman, this is Sarah, Percy, and Bill.”
The cat was under the covers. The new puggle was too busy chasing a Wild Thing toy to be captured on film, but he was with us. My boy calls all his animals to him like a ringmaster.
