About Lemonpuss
I am living the dream and staying home to raise my three kids while my wife and I try to renovate our 150 year old farmhouse and keep the grapevines from consuming the house. We are a free-range family, and I spend my days with the kids crafting, gardening, canning fruit, and keeping the peace. Some days I'm lucky enough to fit in a little knitting. Every Day is Family Day
Last year I vowed to participate in the 2011 “Blogging For LGBT Families” that Mombian hosts. Despite a relatively new baby and WordPress being twitchy, I was able to post. It was a few days in the writing because the … Continue reading

A House Afire
I have been more productive than anticipated in the past few weeks. Much of it is the barely-visible purging and thinning one carload at a time sort; the house looks vaguely tidier but you can’t tell quite why. However, the … Continue reading
Clouds
We have had so much rain our state may qualify for federal flood money. Something as simple as clouds in a blue sky is simply, fully, uplifting.
Why I Was Smiling
Saturday morning: +I slept (kind of) in til 8 +Was greeted by two grinning boys, one who built a pillow cave around his brother and I “just like the cro-magnons” *; the other one just kind of laid there but … Continue reading
Substitute
This is about to be the longest stretch of time that the baby has been off a body since birth – almost two hours. (Go ahead, say it: crazy attachment parents. We agree, but here we are on #3 with … Continue reading

Photo update
Grandma brought out breakfast while we were having our usual morning love-fest. We fill a couch now. Sheesh! My favorite part of infant care is skin-on-skin tubby. Truman renders it slightly less awesome by insisting on pooping as soon as … Continue reading

From Under a Baby
I am increasingly impressed with moms of third babies who manage to continue blogging. Mega-extra credit for those of you who are actually funny. I’ve finally confess and am pecking this out on my phone, which is arduous at best. … Continue reading
Hellcats
I channeled June Cleaver this afternoon and served the family a roasted duck with home made plum cardamom sauce and brussel sprouts with brown butter and garlic to ring in 2011. We had candles, stemmed goblets and lots of toasts. … Continue reading

Snow Day
I spent the whole day snowed in with the kids. Actually, it is more accurate to describe it as wintered in – only a mild dusting of snow, but the temperature hasn’t gotten above 18 degrees today and wind chill … Continue reading
